You might have the fuel pump relay checked. That was my problem several years
ago. The problem was intermitent, largely occuring at at highway speeds or 
while crusing. Replacement cost is about 25 dollars. I've got an extra, just in
case, and have been carrying it for over six years in my car. The location of
the relay is just under the speedometer. Good luck.
