My car We have an '80 Datzun (pick-up) with 118,000 miles on it. The first 100,000 I used STP oil, changing oil and filter at 10-12,000 intervals. I believe this is a 20W50 oil (advertised to last 15,000 miles). Other than a blown head gasket at 110,000, which Datzuns are apparently notorious for, I've had no problems with it. It uses a quart every 3-4000, and has since it was new. I,ve switched to another oil (STP got too expensive and hard to find), which I'm changing at 6,000 miles.
