Buy the appropriate filter. The filter may not work either. If it does not, the easiest thing you can do is buy a better equalizer. Cheap units are notoriously bad in this reguard. If the unit you have is from a reputable manufacturer and the filter doesn't work, it might take a lot of trial and error with different filters and filter placement to get the noise out. Good luck.
