I change the oil about every 10 or 12 thousand miles NOT every 2.5K (I'd have to do it every 3 weeks at that rate.) Sure you can change your oil more frequently and have your car last a half million miles but by then the body would probably rot away. The important thing in my opinion is to use good quality oil and change the filter with EVERY oil change. (I assume that anyone who drives that much does most of it on highways...) -dick
