I am posting this for a friend who is considering buying a new small
inexpensive american car and has been specifically interested in the
Chevette or Omni/Horizon.  Her basic interests are for a car that is
inexpensive to buy and maintain, reliable, and for which service
would be readily available in a small New England town.  She wants a
car she could keep for 10 years, but probably won't drive it over
10K/year.  She was interested specifically in the Omni/Horizon
because of the Chrysler extended warranty, and had also been
interested in the Chevette.  I would like to collect any experience
(good or bad) on these cars people care to relate, and at the same
time any recommendations of other cars to look at based on her
interests.
