 I've tried (in 1.02) to throw previously-identified pieces of
 worthless glass at unicorns, and I get the message:

 "The unicorn is not interested in your worthless junk."

I've heard that a wand of cancellation will return such a piece
of glass back into an unidentified gem, which will then be
acceptable. Haven't tried it yet.
