(yes, Ive found out that there's a net.test, wow) Being new to both UNIX (I'm from another planet) and my work place is a pain. Being a neophite, manuals would be nice. Being new at work means a month is spent waiting for manuals. So I said, "get your toes wet anyway." So thanx for appropriate responses indicating which commands to check out when posting, etc and for directing me to the proper net.... To the idiotic replies such as "Read the f______ manuals FOOL" , (in 4 inch high letters too! thank you for your time) Is it the natural response of net people to suppress budding curiosity? Am I suppose to be completely knowledgable before I attempt everything? Did your parents beat you a lot when you were a child? Thank you for being so friendly and chipper. (Boy, a two line posting generated all this response, got one from Scotland too!) Wayne Christian (seismo!topaz!rruxp!waynech)
