Itoh M-8510 (color) problems Message-ID: <843@hou2e.UUCP> Date: Fri, 4-Apr-86 16:06:39 EST Article-I.D.: hou2e.843 Posted: Fri Apr 4 16:06:39 1986 Date-Received: Sat, 5-Apr-86 12:14:34 EST Distribution: net.micro,net.micro.pc Organization: at his home computer Lines: 19 Ever since purchasing the C. Itoh M-8510 color printer, I have been having loads of problems. Can anyone help on how to solve these (seemingly) simple (to solve) problems? 1. The printer DOES NOT UNDERSTAND the BS (08h, ^H, backspace) character and ignores it, contrary to the manual. 2. The Epson GRAFTRAX [FM]X/80 emulator supplied on the PC Itoh Utilities disk DOES NOT WORK. Output is garbage-like. 3. The escape sequences to change colors DO NOT WORK. It will not change colors by using ESC+"C"+color number. Also, it automatically changes the color to yellow (only time) when you sheet feed. The Self-Test also shows this. Yes, I was using a color ribbon :-) It is a parallel printer connected to the parallel port of my 640K AT&T PC 6300 (normal). Thanks in advance, hou2e!ksl
