Since I DO NOT have the source I cannot prove/disprove this theory. *sigh* Your problem is the fact that Tandy's 68000/XENIX UUCP uses a file called "/etc/systemid" for the system name. *MUCH* easier than relinking the kernel, which won't help anyway. Make sure that your system name is in there, as a single line. This is probably what is causing all your trouble.
