Could someone in the know tell use whether or not
OS9 (specifically, Coco Level 1) actually reads and
verifies that the floppy disk head is on the track
supposedly stepped to, before doing the real read or
write?  Or does the driver just figure "I want track 10,
I was on track 23 so I'll just give it 13 reverse pulses
and write the sector"?

I'm getting some weird head motions and wonder if these
could be re-seeks due to landing on the wrong track.
