hey, by the way,

	Since we started this project here i have gone through two drives
of the external variety.  My first was eating the disks inserted. Not
really digest it but rather make it like a living hell for the machine to
recognize it.  Several times I have gotten read/write errors, etc. We use
Maxell ds disks. 
	Also I noticed that sometimes by boot workmench type disk spins for
well over 30-60 seconds before it even begins to bring the machine up.
Any one else???
