OK, I just bought a II C so I'm new to this group. Please
forgive me if I am repeating questions you have all discussed
already.

1: Can the 'NEWSROOM' package produce good quality print on 
   a DisplayWrite II printer?  I have the printer but I haven't
   sprung for the software yet.  The only sample I saw was from
   a demo at computerland and the print was TERRIBLE.  Since this
   could be a result of the salesman doing the demo, I thought I'd
   ask the net.

2: What kind of modem and software should I get?  I intend to do
   terminal emulation to other computers (would prefer vt100 type)
   and also file transfers to/from other computers (mostly Unix
   host running various protocols, i.e. Kermit, cterm, etc.).
