In reply to WINDGARDs plea for information on 1040s (no I am not an Atari rep):

   You dealer is unhappy about a $3000 minimum order for direct orders from
Atari?  This seems a bit strange if he is actually having all of the holdouts
you mentioned.  $3000 is approx 3 (three) 1040STs.  This doesn't seem to be
an overly large minimum order.

   About Ataris (alleged) program of starving distributers to get directo
orders, if true it is not nice.  But does your local shop owner really
know how hard the distributer is working to get them?
