I have four Rev.2 Atari 520ST systems (*very* early revisions) and I want
to upgrade them with the TOS ROM set.
The instructions for upgrading don't seem to work on the boards I've got - 
they talk about links on the ROM sockets, and I don't have any, nor do
I have the MaskROM pads beside the ROMs.
I tried upgrading one board (using Atari's instructions) and got a dead 520ST;
taking the mods out again left me with a still-dead 520ST. Sigh.
Also - I'm running one machine with two SSDD 3.5" drives. When I
replace the second drive with a DSDD drive, the machine can't see it.
The DSDD drive by itself works OK.

Anybody upgraded Rev.2 boards *without* the ROM socket pin 27/28 links?
Or daisy chained disks?
Help??
