I would like to report that so far this operation is going very smoothly. I get an average of one request a day and everyone has cooperated nicely by sending postage, a SASE, packing material. Therefore, the offer still stands. The following items are on the disks: Languages: XLISP, TINY BASIC, PROLOG (built on top of XLISP) and, until I hear an objection from Mr. Bradley, the FORTH I posted earlier. Accessories: Breakout, Puzzle, CLI, Clock, Fontload, 4 RAMDISKS, Snapshot, File, memory, disk editor (plus a few others) FONTS (for fontload.acc): about 30 fonts (inc. Greek and Hebrew) Utilities: drive checkers, icon editor, microemacs, disk editor, crash analyzer, fast copier, pack/unpack (for transmission of many files (like shar but not as sophisticated)), squeeze/unsqueeze (we all know what that is, right?), UUDECODE, CLI, working spooler, xmodem/vt52 emulator (from CWRU and better than anything I have seen sold in stores), utility to change volume labels on disks (surprizingly handy once you have it) plus a few more. C Source: all XLISP, XMODEM .c,.h Docs: XLISP, microemacs plus some utilities (not a complete set since I do not have a complete set. By the way I received, copied and sent back disks to the following people who I could not reach using CSNET: DeMillo, Skehan, Moore, Chiu, Gibson. I hope you got your disks ok. Notes: The FORTH only works with TOS in ROM. The FONTS only work with TOS in RAM. Put all fonts on a separate disk, hit font accessory - follow prompts TOS in ROMers need only have a second boot disk with the fontload.acc (renamed to deskn.acc where n is an integer between 1 and 6) and TOS.IMG (hope you did not throw that away). The INTERSECT RAMDISK is hard to set up as has been pointed out. It has two problems: you must cycle power on the 520ST module (not too serious - the chips should be able to stand it) to reboot and it uses 50k more space than it should. But it is very handy since it can be resized and removed easily. If I need as much of my 1 MEG as I can get (for C compiles) I use the 650k or the 709k ramdisks (from the ATARI BBS). These beauties take almost no extra space but are always in place. To set up all RAMDISKS create drive icon D and save desktop (more details in docs). You may send your disks, SASE, packing material to John Franco 2535 Spicewood Lane Bloomington, IN 47401 USA Special requests honored as long as demand remains steady. Note: If you are mailing from outside the United States please enclose $2.50 US instead of postage (Bloomington, Indiana is located in the middle of the USA and people here have only vaguely heard of places like Germany or France so you can imagine that sending your native currency to me, as pretty as it might be, is useless) or one disk (disks here in Bloomington cost between $2.00 and $2.50 in packages of 10 - what do they cost where you live?) Remember: You are taking a risk - your disks might be lost or damaged in the mail and I cannot be responsible for that. Also: If I get too many requests I will raise a flag on the net until I am caught up.
