Greetings,
     Just yesterday I bought a NEC JC-1223MA color monitor for
129.00 and I would like to pass this info on to you all.  The
monitor is surprisingly sharp and clear and most importantly
inexpensive.  The only weakness in this monitor is the lack of
seperated chroma and luma, but I was able to use my 80-column term
program with very readable results.  In short, I recommend this 
monitor very highly, especially since it only costs 129.00 
(local price)
