Don Martin of UW asks how much do ribbin~~ons cost and how long t~do they last.
I have qe~~been quoted a price of about $35 for a color ribbon and $24 for a black ribbon.  These were said to be rough prices and possibly would be less if the rep decided to buy in large quantity.  The manufacturer's literature says the
ribbon life is 15 million characters.  That's maybe 7500 pages or two or three boxed~s of paper.  I don't have any prson~~~~ersonal experience yet.  
I still haven't figured out how to delete characters gracefully with this terminal/editor combination!  D~Sorry!
