(Perfectly honestly - it was geven to me by ATT) I have a few questions for those of you out there who can answer them. As a comment - I think it's great! Not too fast, but what can you expect from an 80286. Question #1: How do I use cu? We have a MICOM network here, and after attaching myself to it, going through the hardware setup for the RS232 port, and driving myself crazy, I've noticed that cu only works with modems! But that's not the problem; it says that there are no ports available. After reading the directions, I tried the -d switch. Very funny guys. Anything following the -d (which is *supposed* to be a device name such as /dev/tty, according to the manual) are taken as more flags. Any ideas on what's going on? How can I get it to use the MICOM? [it just occured to me that I should have tried quoting the /dev/tty arg... I'll have to try that...] Question #2: Was the 6300+ UNIX really supposed to be used with a 20MB disk? After installing the Development Package, Extended Terminfo Package, and OS-MERGE, I found that I had only 32% of my disk left. That's about 5MB. That's also not too much. So far, I've only seen the 6300+ with 20MB disks. This too is a cruel joke - I wonder when they will start selling them with 40+MB disks... Question #3: I assume that uucp, ins, and the others won't work with the MICOM either. Correct? Question #4: Since the system allows for /dev/tty and /dev/tty1, I assume that I can (or will be able to) add another serial card. Can I use an IBM compatible card?
