Lines: 14 From: prindle@NADC The official release of Kermit for the C64 is posted in directory "ker:" at Columbia U. on machine CU20B (on ARPANET/MILNET) and possibly another machine accessible via usenet and/or dialups. Any version 1.7 or later works just great at 1200 baud *provided* you correctly transfer KERMIT.INI (the initial- ization file) to your disk along with KERMIT. A screw up in KERMIT.INI can easily render the kluge which makes 1200 baud work useless. At Columbia on CU20B in directory ker:, all C64 Kermit related files begin with the prefix "C64BOOT", "C64DXL", or "C64KER". I highly recommend reading "C64KER.DOC" before you attempt to do anything with the other files. Frank Prindle Prindle@NADC.arpa
