So many DB-9 to DB-25 pin crossing requests have gone by...
The following listing is based on a cable that I made to connect
a Mac with MacTerminal via the modem port to a Racal-Vadic ages ago.
I haven't really tried one recently but it should work (the cable
is still working...)

If the line fails to work for your specific application, you may have to
switch 2 and 3 on the DB-25 or 5 and 9 on the DB-9 since the connection 
may or may not be null-modem.
