Please upgrade to System 3.1 or later as soon as you can.   System 3.0 contains
a bug in UpdateResFile that can cause any resource file to be trashed -- and 
that includes the system file!!   The bug is fixed in 3.1 and later System
Files.   This is an especially pernicious bug, in that it is not immediately
obvious that your system file has been trashed.

[And I wondered why, for the first time I have had a serious case of
trashed disks!!! (seven to be exact, all I used in a particular evening)
