With the current $550 mail order price, they look nicely affordable. I can't forsee upgrading to the Mac+ digital board, so SCSI drives are out, and all the other Mac hard drives are more expensive. Most specifically, I'd like to know: - How well does it work with a Mac upgraded with the new internal drive and ROMs? - Does it work with HFS? - Can you boot straight from the hard disk w/o a floppy pre-boot? - Does it require any special software (ie, non System and Finder)? - Can you have all 10 MB on line w/o having to mount and unmount volumes like you used to have to do pre-HFS? Are there any other questions to ask? What do people think of this drive? Thanks for any info. I'll prepare and post a summary if anybody wants such. mdf -- Mark Ferris Proverbs 2:7 UUCP:1st choice: {allegra,cit-vax,seismo,cbosgd,ihnp4}!scgvaxd!tcville!ferris 2nd choice: {ucbvax, allegra, decvax }!sun!tsunami!tcville!ferris Arpa: scgvaxd!tcville!ferris@cit-vax.arpa MaBell: (213) 616-9076
