The main requirement is a good multiple regression procedure that would provide the usual diagnostics, and either store residuals and predicted values for me, or allow me to calculate them easily. Good plotting facilities would be nice. I would appreciate comments on packages that people have used; the big two that I've heard mentioned are StatView and StatWorks.
