My LAST posting on the subject of MacVenture's external RAMdisk product:

I have now seen the device in operation, and its speed is indeed in the same
order of magnitude as a straight memory-based RAMdisk!  Without doing a very
careful stopwatch timing, I couldn't tell the difference.  It appears to be
a well-built device, and the operation interface (configuration program, boot
program, and external power indicators) appear to be well thought-out.
