I posted the first version of BaseToBase to net.sources.mac.  It cleans up
the ugly behaviour the versionless DA sometimes exhibited when called from
applications.

I used PackIt this time since I got a response from someone saying that
PackIt II was sometimes flakey.  Also, I noticed that some folks don't have
PackIt II yet.  Going for the lowest common denominator...  :-)
