The idea is to minimize the amount of information the user would have to type by using standard Mac dialogue items (radio buttons, check boxes and scroll bars) and possibly others (e.g. small up and down arrow for discrete values) for data entry. The programme should allow for the building of data entry screens using these Mac tools, as one would do with a forms management system on a traditional--non-graphics--machine. The executive should then be able to display the "screens" for data input, and to output the data to a text file in such a way that it can be easily loaded by the database software. Does anybody know if such a program exists? or if any of the major database vendors is working on one? I have not found anything in the literature. Please reply by mail. If anybody is interested in the results, let me know and I will post a summary. Thank you. Daniel Guerin. The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. {decvax, cithep, utzoo}!sickkids!daniel
