You should be able to if only the file system and/or HD controller is bad. You can access the hard disk by mounting it under to floppy. If the ssytem then crashes, you KNOW the hard disk file system is garbage. You may be able to mess with the data if you have some super tool by accessing the disk via the device driver (dev/something), but I do not know of any. >b) can i back my hard disk outside the "office" ?
