It must have it's own buffer to store characters in when they are typed, but this extra buffer would only be used when the DOS standard buffer is full. ie. it takes the characters and tries to put them in the standard DOS buffer, if it is full then they would be stored in another buffer, which would be added character by character to the DOS buffer when ever there is space. Is it possible for this to be written, Has any one done so?????? I have buffer expanders but they just use a new buffer for storing the characters and this wont work with some of the resident programs i have which will look in the Dos buffer for there trigger character. ie (^PF10 etc) thanx. michael a. shiels
