When ever I have it UUCP to a remote system, and the remote is busy or does not answer UUCP then locks the tty line. Now I am not talking the LCK* files UUCP uses or the STST* files, it really locks the tty! I cant use cu(1) (cu(C) if you have help and not man(1).. <-- Dumb move Tandy :-) or kermit.. and the only way to get the tty back to work is to shutdown the system!!! here are this things I have did so far: 1. disable the tty and enable it 2. chmod 777 the tty 3. rm the /dev/ttyXX and use mknod to re make it 4. fsck'ed the system ?idea from other user :-)? and not one of them seemed to work. here is the hardware list: Tandy 6000 hd 512k mem Hayes smart modem Prometheus pro modem (Hayes clone) Thanks for any help in this matter George Slone ..!ihnp4!chinet!spudnik!gis1!root
