Well, as promised, we shut down our machines Friday and Saturday so the physical plant people could play with the power without turning into crispy critters. However, when we tried to turn our machines back on (a bunch of vaxen of various sizes and a pyramid), none of them wanted to come back up. Of course, having the seismic switches trip Monday morning (apparently the Saturday morning quake we felt in Oakland didn't make it here) didn't help matters too much with the machines that were up. Anyway, LLL-CRG is still down (DEC is driving all over the place trying to find parts and the lsi-11 is in pieces on the machine room floor) and probably won't be back up until tomorrow sometime (hopefully). Hope your terra remains firma, andy -- and who's that babbler conversing with a magazine stand? evidently he's getting a good reply...
