Anyone have any hints on softening old ground animal glue joints? The best method I have found from books on player piano restoration is to break the joint by driving a thin putty knife between the pieces but the pieces being removed are 3/8" maple strips 1x6" and they are splitting and breaking rather than the glue joint! Thanks in advance, Cheers, Jim
