Every course I've ever had that mentioned the treatment of plutonium poisoning agreed that a very small amount can set up a toxic reaction in the body and lead to death. Note that this is chemical poisoning, not radiation poisoning. I have never had any interest in doing the maths to figure out how much to kill everybody.
