After my last posting about what Dan and Mel thought about tan lines, somebody
here told me I should post what they think about armpit hair.

I had no idea that there was such interest, so I actually phoned Dan up.
Would you believe that Mel was over, drinking a few beers.  Dan's wife was out
playing bingo.  So Dan was home with the baby and watching ``The World According
to Garp'' on his videodisc machine and phoned Mel up to keep him company.

I told them about the tan lines article and that there was some interest.  Mel
got on the extension so we could have a conference call.  I said that folks
appeared to have some interest in their opinions about armpit hair.

Mel said a straight no to armpit hair.  He was in Europe last summer on a
purchasing tour and thought it looked terrible.  Dan said he wasn't fussy about
it really, but thought that either the ladies should keep their armpits shorn
or let them grow.  The ugliest, he felt, was the stubble so common in women who
shave, but not quite often enough.
