It avoids all sexual connotations, distinguishes my sweety from anyone else that is significant in my world, and can be used for either male or female. Hmmm... maybe sweety is a better word all together, but then that might not be very esthetically pleasing either... Only one major problem with that phrase, though, the connotations of only being half of a whole. Comments?
