Summary: My Better Half

One phrase that would fit all the criterion that Ken produced would be "my
better half" or just "better half", a phrase I used before I ever heard of
SO or the net.  It avoids all sexual connotations, distinguishes my sweety
from anyone else that is significant in my world, and can be used for either
male or female.  Hmmm... maybe sweety is a better word all together, but
then that might not be very esthetically pleasing either... Only one major
problem with that phrase, though, the connotations of only being half of a
whole.  Comments?
