Eventually I had to leave because they simply couldn't relate. Not that I always talk computers... in fact I think that is one of the lesser of my interests; but it IS nice to be able to talk about them without getting a glazed look from my conversational partner. I think the beauty of it is in the choice, but I will freely admit that I am much more prone to going off in the mouth about my last fencing tournement, my 20+ pen pals, or the state of my car or plants or my last knitting project than about my last design for a co-processor or something. I never had a problem with them not being able to keep up with me, either, for some reason I seem to be able to gauge most abilities and levels, could be that I have learned the right questions to ask along the way...
