RG8/X is RG58/U size (ie. thin), but has the electrical characteristics (50 Ohm, .66 velocity) of thick coax. I suspect that it would not make it with "stinger" type xceivers, but would do better than 58U for "T" style. It is much sturdier than RG58, I have had a couple hundred feet outside of my house for four years now with no problems at all. Anyone tried this stuff?
