Dyer Computer Consulting, Cambridge MA Lines: 11 Keywords: 4-wire leased lines I'm investigating obtaining a leased line to connect a PC to a minicomputer, but I know next to nothing about what kinds of modems are available and for what cost: synchronous, asynch, error-correcting or not, full or half duplex, etc. etc. If anyone can made arguments for high-speed dialup in preference to leased lines, please do. Send mail, and I will summarize replies to the net. -- Steve Dyer dyer@harvard.HARVARD.EDU {linus,wanginst,bbncca,bbnccv,harvard,ima,ihnp4}!spdcc!dyer
