Lines: 20 I purchased a Popcom 1200 baud modem in Dec. 1984. I had a lot of trouble with line noise. I suspected my installation of a phone extension, so tried it out on the main phone circuit, after removing my extension. Same problems. The next easiest thing to check was the modem....I could borrow one from work, which was easier than moving my entire system to another exchange. The borrowed modem performed flawlessly. I took the Popcom modem back and traded it for a Prometheus 1200, which has given me absolutely perfect service. The dealer acknowledged that other Popcoms had been returned. Take this for what you will, but I can't recommend Popcoms. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Mackey Boeing Computer Services ....uw-beaver!ssc-vax!voodoo!tomm Everett, WA
