I seem to recall that a year or so ago, there was some discussion
in this group about dangers of and protection against lightning
strikes and other transients for RS232 cabling.  I wonder if anyone
still has any of the discussions that covered this topic, and
could mail them to me.  Any old or new info about methods to
safely run serial cabling between two very close (~20 feet)
buildings connected by conduit would be appreciated.
