Lines: 24 Keywords: terminfo, termcap Doug's posting of the new offical termcap (4.3?) raises some questions: 1) The termcap description gives entries for 64 function keys, as well as shifted versions of many of the other keys. So much for the good. Will system V.3 include similar definitions? I know it had space for 64 function keys, but only defined 11. 2) Will berkley support the meta and keypad functions from system V.2? 3) Is there any standerizing of function key names (ie, is shift-f1 always represented as function(1+16) or some such, or does every terminal description do it differently)?. For example, on the terminal I have now, it has 15 function keys, which can be used alone, in conjunction with the shift key, with the control key, and with both the shift and control keys depresed. This gives me 60 function keys (4 x 15). 4) I didn't notice it in the description, has anyone standardized means of drawing boxes in both berkley and system V? (I don't mean drawing random lines, but replacing building boxes out of |, +, and - chars. Michael Meissner, Data General ...{ decvax, ihnp4 }!mcnc!rti-sel!dg_rtp!meissner
