I just contacted Tartan Laboratories about their M2 compiler. It is
in beta testing now (no more test sites desired) and should be available
around July or August for ca. $4000/cpu for a binary distribution.
Site licenses can be negotiated. A government purchasing contract is forseen.
The package runs on Vax 4.2BSD UNIX and eventually other systems.
