Point of information:

The active newsgroup list states as the purpose of net.micro.pc:

"Discussion about IBM personal computers."

Its name may not seem to imply its purpose, and I think most agree that
the discussion of IBM PC clones here is valid, but it is primarily an IBM PC
newsgroup.
