It would be insulted. Generally when refering to that particular beast, I expand the acronym and call it "primitive computer." The manufacturer's name is, of course, redundant under those circumstances. As far as SCSI goes, it stands for Small Computer Standard Interface. If I recall, it was based on SASI, Sugart Associates Standard Interface. (Too bad it lost the pronouncable acronym.)
