The proper command should be: tsmon /t2 & (actually, "tsmon /t2" will simply not return control to 'term' but otherwise makes no difference for this problem) What happens is that I can login properly once. After I disconnect, 'tsmon' loses connection to 't2' and there won't be any response to a 2nd or any other subsequent phone calls. The modem is a Hayes compatible and my tests were at 300 baud. Has anybody got a decent patch to fix this without mucking something else up?
