Lines: 31 Keywords: console amiga font This is about using different size (width) fonts with the console.device when sending characters and groups of characters alternately. I've been trying to use different fonts with the console device, and have run into something confusing. After changing fonts in a window, if one sends characters to the console.device one by one then the characters appear in the window properly spaced. But if (say, in the process of optimizing things) one sends many (0 < n < 30) characters to the console.device at once, they appear spaced at 8 pixel intervals. The order of events in the code is ... open window open new font (any size 'cept 8) setfont (rastport, font) open console doio some text-type-stuff to console device by character doio a bunch of chars (see munched bunch of chars spaced by 8 pixels) ... (If this "problem" has been solved, sorry to repost it). seth -- UUCP: {harvard, masscom}!humming!seth : "It could only be used for FOAM: 617-862-8836 : Good or Evil" - Firesign Theater
