However, the drive has a piece of metal that has lately been clanging like a bell whenever the drive is started. Also, on the subject of dimensional changes, my power supply is on the left and does not heat up the drive. However, it does heat up the plastic of the body of the 1040 (the cooling grill) to the extent that the plastic is sinking into the computer. So the top of my computer is no longer flat!!! Needless to say, I am not amused! Alan Kennington.
