That is, when the mail icon appears at the top of the screen and you select it with the mouse, how can I get a program to be invoked (say, Mail) instead of that pop-up window telling me I've got mail. I know it can be done because I had a version of electronic mail that did this. Unfortunately, a bug in that program makes it unusable for my purposes. Undoubtably, this piece of information is well documented -- I just cannot find it. Since the answer is probably of interest to lots of people, please post replies to this newsgroup. Thanks, as they say, in advance. -- Harold Bamford AT&T Bell Labs (cornet) 8-367-5744 Naperville, Ill (312) 979-5744
