Message-ID: <1614@ecsvax.UUCP> Date: Sun, 25-May-86 09:59:33 EDT Article-I.D.: ecsvax.1614 Posted: Sun May 25 09:59:33 1986 Date-Received: Mon, 26-May-86 23:14:13 EDT Distribution: net Organization: Duke University Zoology Lines: 16 Some time ago in an article posted to this newsgroup, Frank Prindle (Prindle@NADC.ARPA) detailed some benchmarking he had done using C128 CP/M He suggested that for fastest operation, the 40 column display should be turned off, and suggested including a line like: CONFIG BAUD=110,40COL=OFF in the PROFILE.SUB file to be executed at boot time. Sounds good, and I'd sure like to speed the 128 up a bit, but I can't find a command called CONFIG anywhere in the CP/M distribution, either the original disks that came with the computer or the disks I got by sending off for the DR manuals and extra disks. Has anyone got any suggestions? Is CONFIG something that's only available on Compu-Serve? Thanks, Ross Alford ...mcnc!ecsvax!alford
