Ever since I saw the equates for the Poor Man's Search Path in the new
FSEqu.txt files I've been wondering what it was.  Now there are new tech
notes that talk about it as though I'm expected to know what it is.

So what the heck is it?  Did I miss some TN somewhere?  It certainly sounds
useful -- but, if it's what it sounds like, what good is Any Hertzfeld's
HFSOpen patch?  Surely he would have known about it...  Does anyone know
what's going on?
