As all of the articles happen to reside on disk at the moment at a local
site (restored from tape-backup), I thought taking a snap-shot might be of
interest to this community:

the last article I have seen in net.sources.mac had the sequential number
1113, so I assume most sites still have the articles past #1000 online,

the index file was created with a "readnews -xln >index-file-name"
and I am posting the index of the first 1000 articles in 2 parts,
1 through 500 and 501 through 1000
